Here are some frame-grabs from recent material;
all are JPEG files, between about 10 and 30 kB. All shots, apart from those
of the West Somerset Railway, are taken from my new camera. They've been
reduced in size quite a lot, and compressed to JPEG format, but I think
you can see an improvement

Great Central Railway January Gala, 27th Jan 2007
The sun shone, at the start of the day, the passenger trains were full, there were three different goods trains in use and there were photographers everywhere. This was my first proper visit to the GCR for about 10 years - since the double track sections were opened. It's quite wonderful to see two steam trains passing, especially when they are goods trains travelling at realistic speeds. |
